 บุรุษสรรพนาม

Personal pronouns are words that refer to people, animals, things or places. There are two kinds: subjective and objective pronouns.

Personal pronouns หรือบุรุษสรรพนาม เป็นสรรพนามที่ใช้แทนคน สัตว์ สิ่งของหรือสถานที่  สามารถทำหน้าที่ได้เป็นทั้ง ประธาน (Subject) และ กรรม (Object) ของประโยค

As the subject of a sentence, they are:
  • I
  • you
  • he
  • she
  • it
  • you
  • we
  • they

As the object of a sentence, they are:
  • me
  • you
  • him
  • her
  • its
  • you
  • us
  • them

Personal pronouns สามารถแบ่งได้เป็น 3 ลักษณะ ดังนี้

 1. First Person  (สรรพนามบุรุษที่ 1) คือสรรพนามที่ใช้แทนตัวผู้พูด มี 2 คำคือ 
  • I (ฉัน) และ we (พวกเรา) ในกรณีที่เป็นประธานของประโยค
  • me และ us ในกรณีที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค
ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานของประโยค
(used as the subject of a sentence)
  • I moved to Phatthalung six years ago.
  • ฉันย้ายมาอยู่ที่จังหวัดพัทลุงเมื่อ 6 ปีก่อน

  • We will move to Songkhla next year.
  • พวกเราจะย้ายไปอยู่ที่จังหวัดสงขลาในปีหน้า

ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค
(used as the object of a sentence)
  • Give that book to me. 
  • ส่งหนังสือเล่มนั้นให้ฉันหน่อย

  • Please help us.
  • โปรดช่วยพวกเราด้วย

2. Second Person (สรรพนามบุรุษที่ 2) คือสรรพนามที่ใช้แทนคนที่เราพูดด้วย มีอยู่คำเดียวคือ you (คุณ, พวกคุณ)

ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานของประโยค
(used as the subject of a sentence)
  • You look nice today.
  • คุณดูดีมากเลยวันนี้

  • You must all listen carefully.
  • พวกเธอต้องตั้งใจฟังนะ


ทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค
(used as the object of a sentence)
  • I love you.
  • ผมรักคุณ

  • I have some good news for you. 
  • ฉันมีข่าวดีมาบอกพวกเธอทุกคน

3. Third Person ( สรรพนามบุรุษที่ 3) คือคำสรรพนามที่ใช้แทนบุคคลที่เรากล่าวถึง หรือ บุคคลที่ 3 นั่นเอง มีทั้งหมด 4 คำได้แก่ he-him, she-her, it-it และ they-them

 เมื่อทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานของประโยค

  • he - เขา (ผู้ชาย)
  • He is my father.
  • she - เธอ, หล่อน (ผู้หญิง)
  • She is my mother.
  • it - มัน (สัตว์หรือสิ่งของจำนวนเดียว) 
  • It is my pet.
  • they - พวกเขา, พวกมัน (คน, สัตว์, สิ่งของ ตั้งแต่ 2 จำนวนขึ้นไป)
  • They are my cousins.
เมื่อทำหน้าที่เป็นกรรมของประโยค
  • him
  • I'm taller than him.
  • her
  • I gave her the present.
  • it 
  • That dog is dangerous. I don't like it.
  • them
  • Has anyone seen my keys? I can't find them anywhere.

What is a Pronoun?

A pronoun (abbreviated PRO) is a word that replaces a noun or noun phrase in a sentence. Pronouns are used to avoid repeating the same noun over and over again.

Pronoun หรือ คำสรรพนาม เป็นคำที่ใช้เรียกชื่อ คน สัตว์ สิ่งของหรือ สถานที่ ซึ่งก็คือ คำนาม ที่ถูกกล่าวถึงก่อนหน้านี้ หรือกำลังจะกล่าวถึงต่อไป เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงการกล่าวถึง คำนาม นั้นซ้ำ

There are many different types of pronouns. 
คำสรรพนามในภาษาอังกฤษ สามารถแบ่งออกได้เป็นหลายประเภทได้แก่
